01The distinction
Knowing is not the same as being ready.
Education develops knowledge and skill. Practice develops judgment. Readiness asks whether people and teams can put all three to work when conditions are demanding and the outcome matters.
Realistic exercises make that progression visible. They give people the chance to perform, reveal where preparation or tools fall short, and produce evidence that can improve what comes next.

NCCDC
Where education becomes demonstrated capability.
NCCDC gives students something classrooms rarely can: responsibility for a live enterprise network while a professional Red Team is actively working against them.
NCRF is being established as a new home for NCCDC. Its founding leadership comes from inside the CCDC community, with years spent competing, volunteering, and building the program. As NCRF's flagship event, NCCDC is also its clearest bridge between cyber education and workforce readiness.
